Each By Leahy item of fine jewellery is designed, made by hand, and engraved from my bench in Galway, on the West Coast of Ireland.
PRODUCT QUESTIONS:
Does the Signature Envelope open?
Yes! One of the beautiful elements of the Signature Envelope is the delight in finding that the envelope does in fact open. A Slip is nestled inside and easily ‘slips’ out to reveal your personally engraved message.
You can choose to have the Slip attached, so that it can hang freely outside the envelope, and for that extra bit of security. This is an upgrade feature where a discrete link chain is added, connecting the Slip to the Envelope.
Is it possible to have three messages or names in an Envelope?
On every Slip throughout the collection, I can add two names to each side. This means you could have up to four names on each Slip. In the event that the names are quite short I may be able to fit three on one side. Message me in advance of your order if you would like to double check.
If you would like to add more names, or messages in the future, the Additional Slips are the perfect solution. Explore more, here.
If you are choosing the Slip Necklace and would like to option of adding more names or messages in the future, it can be upgraded to the Slip Duo Necklace in time. This means one more Slip can be added so that you have two Slips on the chain.
How do I get handwritten signatures or messages to you?
Sending your signatures, or handwritten notes, to me couldn’t be simpler - just take a photo and email it to me at hello@byleahy.com, or send me a direct message on social media @ByLeahy.
What materials do you use in your jewellery?
Each By Leahy item is produced using only precious metal – solid yellow gold (9ct or 18ct), rose gold, or solid sterling silver. There is no plating, vermeil or fill so that each piece can be worn with love every day, and stand the test of time to be handed down through future generations.

Do you take commissions?
I can make a variation of any item in the collection and I can also produce items in a different precious metal. Email me on hello@byleahy.com with your request and we can collaborate on your desired piece. In the meantime, here is a sample of some Tailor-Made pieces.
Can I have a different chain length on my necklace?
Each necklace has its chain length detailed in the product description. However, if you would prefer a longer or shorter chain, just add a note to your order and I will adjust your item specifically for you, at no extra cost.
DELIVERY QUESTIONS:
How quickly can my item be dispatched once ordered?
All items are handmade and finished on my bench in Galway, Ireland. Once your order is placed all items will be dispatched within 7 working days.
If you need an item more urgently than that, contact me on hello@byleahy.com and I'll do my best to accommodate you.
Once your piece is dispatched the estimated delivery times are as follows:
Ireland: 1 working day
UK: 5-7 working days
Europe: 5-7 working days
USA: 7-10 working days
Australia: 10-12 working days
Rest of the World: 10-12 working days
All items are sent with a tracking number, sent via the dispatch email, so you can follow it's delivery journey.
How is my order shipped?
Every item is shipped securely via An Post by registered post, so that you can track your parcel en route to the recipient.
International Buyers:
Please note that items shipped outside of Europe may be subject to import duties, taxes and/or charges which are not included in the total cost of your order, nor will they be covered or reimbursed. Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to placing your order. Please email hello@byleahy.com if you need more information about shipping and fees.
RETURNS QUESTIONS:
What is your returns policy?
Non-engraved items can be returned for full refund within 14 working days, provided the item is returned in it's original packaging, and in the original condition that it was received. Please contact hello@byleahy.com in advance of returning your item for instructions on how to return your item.
All engraved items are not eligible for refund as the item has been customised.
CUSTOMS CHARGES:
Please note that items shipped outside of Europe may be subject to import duties, taxes and/or charges which are not included in the total cost of your order, nor will they be covered or reimbursed. These potential charges are separate from shipping costs that are covered By Leahy.
