'I'd love a little piece of this decade of our lives to be captured in one of your necklaces.'
I received an absolutely gorgeous email from a customer two weeks ago. She had purchased a Signature Envelope Necklace for her godchild some years previous but now she was back to buy a ' to me from me gift!' - the best kind of gift.
Here's a snippet of what she wrote...
'I'm so excited to be placing a much awaited order with you. I bought the same necklace a few years ago for my godchild but this time it's a to me from me gift!
I'm not exactly sure what to order so I'll screen shot the basket and you might guide me please. I'll explain the order and you might know how to best place names. I think I'd like 2 slips for the necklace in 9ct gold.
The story behind my order is 12 years ago my two amazing aunts lent me a deposit to buy my first home. They both passed away in recent years. My house number was 44. When living there I met my now husband. We brought our three boys home from hospital and lived there until recently. We recently sold our home, leaving the most amazing and happy memories behind. I'd love a little piece of this decade of our lives to be captured in one of your necklaces.'
Choosing the Signature Envelope Necklace in solid 9ct yellow gold and adding a Signature Slip, the individual signatures of the six people who played such a momentous role in this decade of her life, were carefully translated and engraved across the two Slips. A nod to her house number was capture in the tiny '44' placed above the name of one of her much-loved aunts.
The image above shows one Slip neatly tucked into the Signature Envelope while the Signature Slip hangs outside.
To have By Leahy chosen to capture a decade of one's life - all of the happy memories and the special people who contributed to making it so special - is something that makes me feel incredibly honoured.
I am very grateful,
Laoise x
