A Custom Made Piece for Lyra

A gorgeous gift to make for the queen that is Lyra.

I first started listening to Lyra through the thick of Covid, which was when By Leahy started to gain some real momentum (while I was still working full-time), and it was also while I was pregnant with my first child - a lot of pivotal memories being created…

Lyra was then the Design & Crafts Council Ireland ambassador last year and her support for Irish Made brands and product was sincere and genuine. When she posted about a By Leahy piece on her Insta stories I nearly fell off my chair with the shock and delight.

So, in short, it was very meaningful for me to have the opportunity to make and personalise a custom-made piece for Lyra. The classic By Leahy ‘Slip’ was paired with a stunning diamond cut gold chain to create the, now-named, ‘Signature Slip Necklace’. Lyra was engraved on one side and I added a surprise engraving on the reverse side - the date of her debut album launch and the date it hit No.1 in the Irish charts - kicking none other than Beyoncé off the top spot.

An absolute lady with a fantastically authentic and refreshing personality, it’s a pure delight to have Lyra wearing a piece of By Leahy.
