This is exciting! ...
I was in the depths of Connemara when I heard of the finalists announcement for the Irish Made Awards (thank you Aideen @ The Little Siopa for sending me a pic’.) The awards are a true celebration of exactly what it means to create and produce quality products in Ireland, and for that reason it means so much to be nominated alongside so many incredible Irish brands.
A story that started with my granny and grandad, and has had a few chapters added since… By Leahy started slowly in 2019 and has been building steadily since.
The nomination made me reflect back to the start. I am very grateful to be able to do what I do, to have wonderful and supportive customers, and to have my family and friends encourage and support me so much along the way. Growing a business alongside a family is all the things, and I feel very lucky in all of it.
Every handmade piece that leaves my bench has captured a story from someone’s life. It’s a privilege to be trusted with capturing the most poignant moments and celebratory occasions.
