This is a BIG one!

I spoke some time back about refining the collection. This is now happening. I want to really hone in on what you love most and make it even better.

It might seem counter-intuitive to do less but it's actually something that has been core to By Leahy since the start – but I began to lose sight of it. By Leahy was never a brand that offered seasonal collections and constant 'newness'. It was, is, and will always be, a slow and considered brand.

Therefore, I am trimming away the designs that don't offer as much value to you. By removing certain items from the collection, I can focus on improving what By Leahy does best - capturing memories and creating connections through unique and personalised fine jewellery. Fine jewellery of the highest quality for you to enjoy today and pass through your generations in time.

The investment in quality has already started. About two years ago the Signature Envelope went through a gorgeous upgrade. I worked closely with a Master Goldsmith in Dublin and he made the changes I'd been hoping for without losing sight of what made the Signature Envelope so special. The beauty lay in the fact that it visually didn't change. Instead it structurally improved. The 'walls' were thickened to improve the casting process, the finish improved (oh how it sparkles even more!) and there is a gorgeously satisfying 'click' when you now close the envelope.

The refinement of the collection will happen over the next few weeks. You will have time to shop the pieces you love before we say good-bye to them. I'll be creating a dedicated edit for you to browse and I will alert you when it is live.

Also...

I'm sorry to say that there will be some price increases. I really don't like having to do this but I got a reality check when I placed an order for components recently - the price of silver has increased 100% since I last reviewed costs nearly two years ago.

The price of silver has always been relatively steady and the fact that it is now being impacted too is telling. Looking at the precious metal market as a whole over the last few years, these increases are likely going to keep happening.

Before the last cost review, I had not increased the prices since I launched By Leahy in 2017, bar the Signature Envelope which had some very minor adjustments in the initial years.

Trying to focus on the silver lining here (sorry, no pun intended)...the change is not happening immediately – you have a chance now to capture the value.

Similar to the refinement of the collection, I will alert you before the price change kicks in. Perhaps now is the time to invest – in the truest sense of the word.
